The Refit n’ Save project ran for 2011. It was a partnership between five community sustainability groups and was co-ordinated by the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance. The project built a network of reliable, local suppliers to make sustainable choices easier. We worked with 800 households across the region to make them more comfortable, energy smart and cost effective to run. As independent, not-for-profit organisations our top priority was to get the best products and advice for our members, without costing the earth. Our part-time project officers were based in Ballarat, Bendigo, Hepburn Shire, Ararat and Swan Hill. The Refit n’ Save project was supported by the Victorian Government Sustainability Fund managed by Sustainability Victoria.
